Notch SafeBloc
Stock: Some
SafeBloc is a triple-hole thimble designed to introduce friction into the rigging system at the top of the tree, enhancing safety by minimising stress on rigging points compared to traditional block or pulley systems. With added friction, climbers often take control of the rigging line after the initial drop, freeing up ground personnel to utilise both hands. This allows climbers to complete the lowering.
SafeBloc is suitable for use in any scenario where an arborist block would typically be employed for lowering. The rigging line can be threaded through all three holes for maximum friction or fewer holes for reduced friction. Adjustments can be made without the need to return to the SafeBloc. SafeBloc does not introduce significant friction that could potentially fatigue the rope between it and the material being lowered, mitigating safety risks associated with excessive friction.
