The New Arborist of the Year Award celebrates the future of Australian arboriculture. It recognises outstanding individuals in their first three years in the industry, highlighting their practical skills, dedication, and commitment, grounded in the Cert III in Arboriculture and the Minimum Industry Standards.

Held each year at the Australian Tree Climbing Championships, this event is about so much more than competition. It represents a genuine investment in the next generation of arborists. Participants are welcomed into a supportive network of industry professionals, where they gain exposure to new skills, fresh opportunities, and invaluable guidance. Just as importantly, they connect with peers who share the same passion and early-career experiences. The friendships formed here often last a lifetime, creating a strong support system these young arborists can rely on throughout their careers.

At CSPD, we are incredibly proud to support this event as the equipment sponsor. Providing these young professionals with the tools they need for their daily work is just one part of our commitment. We are equally passionate about supporting their growth, encouraging their ambitions, and helping inspire more young people to join this remarkable industry.

Thank you to Arboriculture Australia for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful initiative, and congratulations to all participants for their dedication and effort.

A special congratulations to Will McCormack and Sammy Rashleigh, the joint winners of the 2026 competition. We look forward to seeing where your careers take you.
